The '58 Chambered Les Paul is all about the woods. This is the good wood... chambered for better sustain and more tone. BIG, FAT TONE with a HUGE midrange HONK and sweet treble! This guitar has incredible sustain and range with just awesome power... Pure LP sound and absolute soul, with that to die for "woody air." With less weight the acoustic resonance is greater. This guitar is everything a Les Paul ought to be... beautiful, soulful, powerful and stronger than any. The frets are nice and large, for wider bends. They've been leveled, shaped, and crowned to exacting specifications - unique to each individual instrument - and will extend a bit further towards the binding, giving you more surface area. The nut is carefully hand-shaped to give it a more rounded, vintage look. The feel of the neck is just like it ought to be...not real fat and not thin and together with a rolled fingerboard binding, you will experience an incredibly comfortable feel. This guitar weighs 7 lbs 6 ozs! She's so light on your back that you can play it all night long and you'll be sounding so good you won't want to put it down!

Found in less than 1 in 1,000 trees this kind of Maple is very hard in texture and reflective, capturing stress in the grain and producing a loud, powerful projective sound with incredible sustain.
