Frequently named in polls for the "world's greatest guitar solos", and listed at #49 in Rolling Stone magazine's "500 Greatest Songs of All Time", Don Felder and Joe Walsh's dual guitar solo on the Eagles' "Hotel California" tapped a searing tone and an atmospheric vibe that still resonates today. In the recording studio, Don Felder used his '59 Les Paul to play his leads on the Hotel California album, including his imaginative and thrilling work on the Hotel California track. To honor this legendary pairing of artist and instrument, Gibson Custom has just introduced the Don Felder "Hotel California" 1959 Les Paul guitar, in a strictly Limited Edition with only 50 aged and signed units, 100 aged units and 150 VOS units produced. The instrument is crafted in the image of Gibson's iconic 1959 Les Paul with a few twists unique to Don's model which includes a smaller than usual neck for the era. All versions carry the same basic specs and the aged versions are aged to accurately reflect the look of Felder's original '59 Les Paul. All come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

This guitar is one of 50, Aged to look exactly like Don Felder's 1959 Les Paul. It has also been played, signed and numbered by Mr. Felder. It is one of the first 10! This guitar is highly collectable and an awesome player. The neck measures .898 at the first fret and .949 at the 12th. It has a very comfortable feel and a light action. The guitar weighs 8 lbs. 10.5 oz. It is light on you back and extremely resonate. We all know how good this guitars sounds on the "Hotel California" album.
