The new Gibson Custom Historic 1959 Les Paul Reissue is the most exact recreation of the legendary original ever produced. Every subtle detail of this model has been painstakingly reproduced, and nothing has been left to chance. From the gold top-hat control knobs with dial pointers to the molded bell-shaped truss rod cover to the period correct cream pickguard and nickel tuners with green buttons, this guitar delivers the absolute ultimate in vintage guitar recreation.

This 2011 Gibson Custom Historic 1959 Les Paul Reissue is the latest and the greatest Gibson has to offer. This guitar has a KILLER WIDE CHEVRON FLAME MAPLE TOP like no other! It's very unique and very beautiful! This kind of Flame Maple is very hard in texture and reflective. Found in less than 1 in 1,000 trees, this kind of wood, captures stress between the flames of grain and produces a loud, powerful projective sound. This guitar is extremely resonate and extremely light, weighing in at 8 lbs 15 ozs. She's perfectly balanced, light on your back and powerful with tons of that mid range GROWL! This guitar will out perform other Historics in a way you just wouldn't believe until you plug her in and that may also be in part due to the ultra thin nitro finish. Together with the VOS finish this guitar has the look, feel, and sound of a $300,000 original. The thickness of the neck measures .906 at the first fret and .990 at the 12th. This guitar is 100% MINT, UNPLAYED, UNOWNED and AWESOME! It comes complete with the Gibson Custom case, certificate of authenticity and pure MOJO! The pickguard is also included, but it was never installed. Why? Because Gibson will not drill a top like this. The top is just too beautiful to cover up! Only a handfull of guitars leave the Custom Shop without having the pickguard installed. It's a sign of greatness and this is one of those guitars!
