2011 Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Standard
Sunrise Tea Burst

The '58 to '60 Les Paul Standard was the first solidbody electric guitar to become truly, and unquestionably, collectible. When the sunburst finish met the Les Paul Standard in 1958, the result was phenomenal. All the right elemants came together in 1958 to create musical magic! The '58 was the first burst with two humbucking pickups and a Tune-O-Matic Bridge. Burst slingers like Gary Rossington, Billy Gibbons, Jimmy Page and Duane Allman, have known all along, the '58 Les Paul is the Holy Grail of guitars. You could say that the sun rises and sets on the '58 Les Paul Standard!

In 2009 the Gibson Custom Shop made 21 improvements to the Historic line up of guitars. The new Gibson Custom Historic 1958 Les Paul Reissue is the most exact recreation of the legendary original ever produced. Every subtle detail of this model has been painstakingly reproduced, and nothing has been left to chance. From the gold top-hat control knobs with dial pointers to the molded bell-shaped truss rod cover to the period correct cream pickguard and nickel tuners with green buttons, this guitar delivers the absolute ultimate in vintage guitar recreation.

This 2011 Gibson Custom Historic 1958 Les Paul Reissue is the latest and the greatest Gibson has to offer. This model comes complete with a beautiful Sunrise Tea Burst Finish that will take your breath away! You can see the blister in the grain of the Maple which is very rare and highly sought after. It's this kind of wood, the good wood, that resonates with the Mahogany back. This guitar has the great features, tone, and looks that made the original '58 Les Paul a classic for "workhorse" comfort and feel. This guitar features a maple top, mahogany back, and one-piece set-in mahogany neck with rounded '50s neck profile and nickel plated hardware. The Gibson Burstbucker Pickups used are historically accurate "Patent Applied For" replicas with an airy tone and unbalanced coils. A medium output Burstbucker 1 is used in the neck position, while the Burstbucker 2 in the bridge position has a slightly hotter output. Both have unpolished magnets and non-potted coils like the original "Patent Applied For" pickups. The TONE is AWESOME, warm and FAT with a HUGE midrange HONK and sweet treble! This Les Paul is everything a Les Paul ought to be...soulful, powerful and strong! The thickness of the neck measures .926 at the first fret and 1.013 at the 12th. The frets are nice and large, for wider bends and this guitar has a huge presence with incredible sustain. Weighing in at 9 lbs. 8 oz. This guitar really has that pure LP sound with that to die for "woody air". Not too bright, just right!

This guitar is 100% MINT UNPLAYED UNOWNED AND AWESOME! It comes complete with the OHSC, COA and TONE! If you're looking for vintage vibe in a Les Paul that's as historically accurate as anything Gibson has built over the past few decades, this 1958 Les Paul Standard is just what you're looking for.
