2010 Gibson Custom Shop ES-335 Block VOS
Light Caramel Burst

No matter how you play it...It ROCKS!

Jazz, Blues, Country and Rock, the ES 335 is the most versatile and most beloved electric guitar of all time.

Introduced in 1958, bringing hollowbody tradition and solidbody performance together for the first time, the Gibson ES 335 soon became a favorite among players worldwide. In mid-1962 Gibson's fantastically popular thin-line semi-hollow wonder machine adopted a thinner, faster neck profile and gorgeous pearloid block inlays to enhance the rosewood fretboard. This Custom Shop model is indistinguishable in every way from the 335s that rolled off the line in '60. It's even made on the exact same forms used then.

Light Caramel Burst VOS finish

This guitar has a Light Caramel Burst finish which truly enhances the grain of the wood. This guitar is beautiful and rare and also very resonate. Sound is captured as stress between the grain and travels as it resonates through the body adding an extra dimension of sound. Along with the "Sustain Sisters," Gibson's original design, 2 5/8" solid brass circular studs, implanted in the center block into which the ABR-1 bridge is set, brilliance and sustain are further enhanced. When a string is played, these Sustain Sisters convert the string variations to physical energy, thus activating the top to do it's thing. The exceptional tonal characteristics are also achieved by the mass and density of the solid Maple Center Block, which is warmed by 2 thin pieces of close grained spruce, above and below, forming the connecting line with the body, pioneered by Gibson in 1958. The solid center section along with the streamlined thinner hollowed chambers between the top and bottom, adds fullness and harmony that provide a spectacular sound. The double-cutaway design allows for greater fret access, along the fast, low action neck. This guitar will generate screaming extended sustain, dense rich jazz tones, and everything in between-all with no feedback issues.

This guitar is 100% MINT and UNPLAYED. It was built in the Gibson Custom Shop and has the Custom Shop logo on the back of the headstock. This guitar comes complete with the OHSC, COA and MAGIC!
